Creativity in high school is special. You are supposed to be focused on your studies, but creativity seeks ways to express itself beyond coursework and into the social nature of those who may become friends or more. I recall writing letters that were really creative, but you had to give them to someone for the letter to live beyond your own ingenuity. The point was to give someone the experience they could only get from holding the letter in their hands and having read it. They would then come back to you and tell you about the experience or even better write back.

The Power of Writing Letters


I am writing a digital letter, but the irony is that a letter is made up of many letters and yet it is called A letter. Nowadays, you have an intermediary called the internet that allows you to share and preserve the writing you create. The smile that results from it you may still not be present for, but you can share it with more than one person.
